The method involves determining an assembly device i.e. pick-and-place machine or assembling module, and a printed circuit board identification (ID) e.g. bar code, radio-frequency identification chip, from a printed circuit board (LP) to be assembled. Type of printed circuit board is determined based on the printed circuit board identification of the printed circuit board. The identification and the determined type of the board are transmitted to a central assembling program service (BD). An actual assembling condition is stored at the equipment program service while assembling the board.
