The axle differential has a crown gear (5) provided in axial flange sided manner with a ring-shaped axial web (11) placed opposite to an outer circumference of a stop flange (9a,9b). The crown gear is connected to circumferential side alternatively with the segments (6,7) of a cage housing (3) and of a cage cover (4) at an external edge of the unit of the axial web on the stop flange by a ring shaped axial bevel seam (12). An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling axle differential.
