The filter element comprises an element-track section, and an edge region (18) of the bowl or the head comprises an edge-track section (72). The element-track and the edge-track section complement one another at a guidance track (76). A safety element i.e. elastic safety-spring element (74), is located in the bowl when the edge section is arranged at the head or is located at the head when the edge section is arranged in the bowl.
