Method for controlling drive system e.g. hydrostatic traction drive of forklift truck, involves monitoring function of functional controller by redundant controller in normal operating state
The method involves detecting input signal of a control device (2) and converting the input signal in to a control signal for a control element (3) of a drive system by a functional controller (1), where the drive system is stationary in a secure operating state and the drive system is in motion in a normal operating state. The input signal is converted in to the control signal by a parallel redundant controller (4) in the secure operating state. A function of the functional controller is monitored by the redundant controller in the normal operating state. An independent claim is also included for an electronic control device with a functional controller.
