The method involves digitally producing a tooth rim adapted to an existing dental model base (1) so that the rim is inserted on the base. A cavity of the rim together with the base is filled with fast hardening polyurethane. The base is ideally opened on a bottom side, so that a model material is poured through simply from a rear side. Individual jaw joint structures of a patient are printed with availability of digital data, so that the structures are attached on existing jaw joint bowls that are connectable with the base, such that the structures are directly fastened to the base.
