The device (1) has a tiltable operating element whose different tilting positions are associatable to different switching conditions, respectively. The element is operatively connected with a push-button (9), so that the tilting positions correspond to different switching conditions of the push-button. The element cooperates with the push-button according to a type of a tilting lever. The element is formed with a passage opening for receiving a tilting axle (11), and another passage opening is aligned parallel to the former passage opening for receiving detent elements (12a, 12b).
