The invention relates to a device for cleaning of the outer surface of a tube (4) with a longitudinal axis. In this case, it is provided that the device (1)– a frame (2) with drive - and the moving means (8, 9) to the longitudinal movement of the apparatus (1) on the outer surface of the tube (4) and– a rotor (3) which has a longitudinal passage for passing of the tube (4) and at the frame (3) around the longitudinal axis of the tube (4), is rotatably mounted, wherein said rotor (3) cleaning elements (31), which can, during the operation of the apparatus (1) in contact with the outer surface of the tube (4) are located.
