A disc-form fixing device fitted on vertical scaffold tubes has openings for the fitting of horizontally and/or vertically extending scaffold elements. Narrow openings are located radially to the cross section of the scaffold element in two relatively perpendicular directions, with a wider opening between two narrow openings in each case. The edge (5) formed by the narrower openings (4) and outer contour (2) of the fixing device (1) in the radial direction of the cross section of the vertical scaffold tube (3) has a smaller width than the edge (9) formed by the wider openings (7) and outer contour.
