Energy storage i.e. lithium-based energy storage, operation method for e.g. hybrid car, involves determining state of charge deviation of cell dependent of energy storage voltage, average state of charge and detected cell voltage of cell
The method involves detecting energy storage voltage (U-Batt) and energy storage current (I-Batt) by a measurement unit (200). Average charging state (SOC) of an energy storage (10) is determined depending upon the detected energy storage current. Charge deviation state (V) of an energy store cell is determined depending upon the energy storage voltage, the average charging state and a cell voltage (U-z) of the energy store cell, and charging or discharging operations of the cell is performed depending upon the time of charge deviation. An independent claim is also included for a device for operating an energy storage.
