The method involves defining an interpretation-constraint for a working process, and defining and deriving an interpretation-target size for the working process. An interpretation-parameter controlling the interpretation-target size is defined. A particle-swarm optimization algorithm is utilized for static or dynamic tasks determination of a value for the interpretation-parameter such that an optimal compliance with the interpretation-target size for the working process of an internal combustion engine is obtained based on the interpretation-constraint.
