The present invention relates to an aluminosilicate glass, comprising a glass composition, the sio2 and al2O3 as well as the alkali oxide na2O and the alkaline earth metal oxides cao and mgo, as well as optionally further components, wherein the glass composition 10 to 16 w -% na2O, and 0 to 5 w -% cao, and the ratio of cao: mgo in the range of 0,5 to 1,7 is. The aluminosilicate glass according to the invention is a result of the selected ratio of cao / mgo crystallization-stable and has a transformation temperature tg of 580°C. as well as a working temperature va 1200°C. It is therefore a more thermally stable an alternative to lime - sodium hydroxide - glass. The present invention also relates to a photovoltaic modules - cell, in particular a thin film photovoltaic cells - - cell, which comprise according to the invention is used as a substrate.
