The sensor (1) has an electrical non conductive and non-ferromagnetic inner housing (7) inserted into a cavity (6), and permanent magnets (8) fixed at or in the inner housing. An iron core (9) is bordered at the magnets, and a coil (10) surrounds the iron core. An electrically non conductive and non-ferromagnetic holder (11) is inserted into the cavity and is supported against an outer housing (5). An end of the core is supported in the holder, and a part of the core is projected from the holder and is surrounded by the coil. The end of the core is turned towards the magnets.
