The method involves utilizing metallic material and axially compressing a work-piece in a pressing tool under influence of a press plunger. The compression process is initiated with an impulsive pressure force, which is increased against the normal pressing force. The impulsive pressure force is acted on the work-piece in an axial direction, in direction of rotation or in a helical direction. An independent claim is also included for a device for machine manufacturing of cylindrical, particularly hollow work-pieces, e.g. tie rods, stabilizers, torsion springs, amplification tubes, drive shaft and balancing shafts or cam shafts of an internal combustion engine of vehicle.
