摘要

The method involves fixing a work-piece (1) in clamping devices (2, 2') in a force-fit manner for processing longitudinal sides (6) of the work-piece. A measuring device scans a point of the longitutinal sides of the work-piece, before grinding processing. Position of the work-piece relative to a machine-axis (5) is considered, during feeding of a grinding disk (8) i.e. cubic boron nitride grinding disk. Distances of a work-piece center to the machine axis are determined. Distances are compensated via a machine control, during feeding of the grinding disk. An independent claim is also included for a grinding machine for implementing the method for external grinding of the work-piece.
