The method involves detecting the head (1) of a driver (F) with a driver monitoring camera and providing the image data of the driver head in a time sequence. The interior camera partially detects the body sections of the driver and provides the image data of the body sections in a time sequence. The driver parameters are extracted from the driver head image data and the body sections image data and a motion vector is formed for each driver parameter.
