The product line managing module (18") has a code and bill of materials (BOM) generator module for producing BOM of a product and auto code for several modules based on the received data dictionary entries and interface information including an interface signature and an interface contract. A configuration management module assembles the auto code to generate a product. An independent claim is included for product line based content management system.
