The device has a low-noise amplifier (15) comprising an input that is coupled with a first pin of an integrated circuit, and an output that is coupled with a second pin of the circuit. The amplifier is adjusted in such a manner that the amplifier is a part of a signal path or no part of the signal path. The circuit is inserted into a radio receiver. A mixer (20) comprises an input that is coupled with a third pin of the circuit. A variable impedance (R4) is coupled with a fourth pin of the circuit. A variable-capacitance diode (C1) is coupled with a fifth pin of the circuit. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for calibrating a variable-capacitance diode (2) a system for calibrating a variable-capacitance diode.
