A packaging for cigarettes or other items is designed as a covered box with a box part (10) and a lid (11). An open side of the box part (10) can be sealed by a tight-fitting covering film (28) which is detachably connected to the covered box and/or the box part (10) by means of adhesive strips (29) along the edges and which can be opened and closed repeatedly.
