The device has a ring (5) mounted in a passage hole (3) of a quarter window (2) located on a rear panel (1). A passage hole (6) of the rear panel receives the ring during mounting of the quarter window on the rear panel. The ring receives an axle (7) of a windscreen wiper after mounting of the quarter window. An external lateral surface of the ring includes an annular shoulder (8) that is locked against an inner face (2a) of the quarter window around the passage hole of the ring. The ring comprises a tapered end (5b) to facilitate assembling of the ring in the passage hole of the rear panel.
