The air suspension (90) has a piston provided with a piston rod (14), and a cylinder body (12) traversing a suspension body (20). A seal and the cylinder body close and seal an opening (22) in the suspension body. An elastic ring is placed opposite to radial edges of the suspension body. The seal is housed in the opening of the suspension body between a shoulder of the suspension body and the elastic ring. An air sealing boot (80) is placed between the suspension body and the piston rod. A spring (42) is supported on the elastic ring and connected with the piston rod. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating an air suspension.
