The device has a metal tab (10) whose end (10a) is fixed to a longeron (3) on which a center pillar (2) is welded. A safety belt winder (1) is adapted to be fixed to another end (10b) of the tab. The tab has a ductile zone (11) between the ends, where the ductile zone is a folded zone forming a dent. The ductile zone permits elongation of the tab due to the rotation of the longeron around its axis, caused by a lateral shock on the center pillar. The tab has a face supported against a face (3a) of the longeron. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising a center pillar.
