The gearbox (1') has a primary shaft (4) connected to a secondary shaft (6) via gears. Interlocking sleeves (27-29) are associated to idle pinions (14, 15) installed on the shafts. A sub-assembly (36) that is in direct contact with one of the pinions in the secondary shaft is installed on a third shaft (32) connected to a down bridge (8), where the third shaft is distinct from the primary and secondary shafts. The sub-assembly ensures reverse speed and engagement of a supplementary ratio of forward speed and/or passage under torque of speed ratio.
