Plastic material shaping method for fabricating trim component for automobile, involves injecting thermoplastic material into mold to realize overmolding on blank, and closing mold to realize compression till reaching thickness of shell
The method involves positioning a blank (1) in the form of flat or curved plate, between two parts of a mold (3), after heating the blank. The mold is closed to partially deform the blank and to realize partial compression till thickness of the blank is between 105 and 120 percentage of a desired final thickness of a final shell. A thermoplastic material is injected into the mold to realize overmolding on the blank, where the overmolding has a technical zone or part (4). The mold is completely closed to realize complementary compression till reaching the final thickness of the final shell. The final shell is formed of a film made of a material that is chosen from a group formed by fabric, nonwoven fabric, synthetic polymer material, recycled material, and/or fibers. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for shaping a plastic material (2) a trim component for trimming or covering a cab interior of an automobile.
