The device (D) has a receiver (R) housing interface and transmission units (MI, ME). The interface unit has a capacitive type sensor (CC1) located in a selected portion (P1) of a wall of the receiver and partially associated with the function of a system. The sensor generates predefined electric field extending in an external zone (Z1) before the portion, and provides an output signal according to the disturbance of the electric field induced by the presence of an organ i.e. finger, of a user in the zone. A control unit (MC) provides commands of the function according to the signal.
