The method involves detecting a support pulse edge by a transition. A support point having coordinates corresponding to a pair of coordinates provided by a touch-sensitive faceplate, is stored when the transition is validated. Another support pulse edge is detected by another transition. Coordinates of another support point is calculated according to the coordinates of the former support point and the pair of coordinates provided by the touch-sensitive faceplate, when the latter transition is validated. An independent claim is also included for a device for accurately locating supports on a touch-sensitive faceplate.
