The piston pump has a piston, a drive shaft and an eccentric ring (12) for moving the piston. The eccentric ring is fitted on the drive shaft. A marking (18) is fitted at the eccentric ring for a position determination of the largest eccentricity of the eccentric ring. The eccentric ring has a front side and the marking is fitted at the front side. The marking is formed as a recess or elevation or a stripe. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a piston pump.
