The device (10) has an obtaining unit (11) for obtaining physical parameter e.g. position, of a vehicle and speed and instantaneous acceleration value at every moment during traveling. A comparison and calculating center (12) calculates an actual parameter depending on the instantaneous acceleration value and compares the actual parameter with a reference parameter from the physical parameter. A driving evaluation center (13) provides driving energy to the vehicle while measuring the variation between the actual parameter and the reference parameter. An independent claim is also included for a method for evaluating driving of a vehicle.
