The exhaust line (8) has a particle filter (24) for filtering particles whose diameter is equal to or greater than 23 nm, and a channel (20) for supplying exhaust gas toward the filter. A thermal insulation layer (26) covers an external periphery of the channel. A heating element (30) e.g. resistive wire, is arranged between the insulation layer and the external periphery of the channel. A temperature sensor (42) measures temperature at the exterior of the exhaust line. A control unit (46) controls the heating element based on the temperature measurement. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a vehicle comprising a speed sensor (2) a method for controlling an exhaust line.
