PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the flower organ formation-associated transcription factor of Cyclamen persicum and a gene encoding the transcription factor.SOLUTION: The genes of three kinds of transcription factors controlling the flower organ formation of the Cyclamen persicum, and encoding MADS gene of the Cyclamen persicum, named as CpMADS1, CpMADS2 and CpMADS3 are provided. By suppressing the function of the MADS box transcription factor of the Cyclamen persicum, plant bodies having the modified flower forms of the Cyclamen persicum can be obtained. Therefore, it can be utilized for various agriculture, horticulture, agribusiness, further the industries of processing agricultural products, food industries, etc., and also is very useful.
