PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable apparatuses, such as mobile terminals, to acquire accurate positional information at any place without requiring large-scale equipment or redesigning of the apparatuses, such as mobile terminals.;SOLUTION: A positional information providing apparatus 1 has a plurality of signal receiving units 2, a position determining unit 3 and a radio communication unit 4. Each signal receiving unit 2 has a function to receive different kinds of signals including positional information from other signal receiving units. The position determining unit 3 has a function to determine the location of its own apparatus by arithmetic processing based on positional information contained in the signals received by the signal receiving units 2 and reliability assigned to each of the signals.
