PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle multimedia device and a method of controlling display of hierarchically structured menus on a display device of the vehicle multimedia device.;SOLUTION: The vehicle multimedia device comprises: a display device 14 for displaying information including hierarchically structured menus with menu items; a controller device 16 for selecting and activating the menu items; a control device 12 for controlling the display and for receiving selecting and activating signals from the controller device; and memory devices 28 and 30 adapted to store a predetermined number of the information identifying a menu or a menu item.
