DIAGNOSTIC METHOD AND THERAPEUTIC COMPOSITION FOR ORAL SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To newly discover a gene in an amount of expression in an oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and provide a method for detecting the OSCC using the gene.SOLUTION: The method for detecting the oral squamous cell carcinoma in a biological sample to be inspected includes following steps: (1) a step for detecting at least one gene expression level selected from the group consisting of AIM2 and IFI16 in the biological sample to be inspected and (2) a step for deciding the presence of the oral squamous cell carcinoma when the expression level has been enhanced.
