ANALYSIS METHOD FOR DETERMINING AMOUNT OF FUNCTIONAL GROUPS ON CARBON BLACK SURFACE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analysis method for determining the amount of functional groups existing on the surface of carbon black, especially carboxyl groups, lactone groups and phenol hydroxyl groups with very low costs, great safety and ease depending on the aimed surface functional groups.;SOLUTION: In an analysis method, the neutralization titration is performed by separately adding at least two salt solutions with different acid dissociation number to carbon black. Based on the absolute value between the neutralization titration values calculated by the reaction of the plural salt solutions with carbon black, the amount of specific surface functional groups existing on carbon black surface is determined.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
