PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately obtain distribution circumstances of biomass resources.;SOLUTION: A vegetation index is first calculated by using a value of an infrared wave length and a near-infrared wave length of a remote sensing image from teacher data 15 having at least the remote sensing image, biomass resource information and the position information of the biomass resource information of an object region, and the likelihood of each cell of the remote sensing image is then calculated by a maximum likelihood method based on teacher data from the wavelength of the remote sensing image and the wavelength of the calculated vegetation index, and classification probability is calculated from the likelihood, and the resource distribution map of biomass is created by combining the classification probability with statistical data 17 about the growing area of biomass resources prepared in advance.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
