PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To capture the relation between the occurrences of various events and impressions of viewing determined by the occurrence of the events. PSOLUTION: A device of estimating viewing impression is configured to: acquire an impression, which the video image gives to viewer, as a teacher signal by using the video image for learning; learn a subjective impression model by using an event extracted from the video image for learning and the teacher signal; and estimate an impression which video image gives to viewer by using the learnt subjective impression model. In particular, the impression is accurately estimated, while paying attention to the fact that human emotions are influences by one's emotions of slightly earlier. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
