Watershed estimation program

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user having no knowledge for watershed to perform accurate watershed estimation. PSOLUTION: The program executes procedures of receiving an input instructing a point on a map; selecting a grid on the map containing the instructed point as a first grid of processing object; storing altitude values of grids within the area containing the first grid in a memory; detecting a depression within the area; changing the altitude values; determining, based on the altitude values of the grids within the area, a flowing direction of water which flows out of a second grid adjacent to the first grid of the grids within the area; determining, when it is determined that the water flowing out of the second grid flows to the first grid, that the second grid and the first grid are contained in one watershed; newly selecting the second grid as the first grid of processing object; and outputting information showing that the grid newly selected as the first grid is contained in the one watershed.
