PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce operation burden of an operator by utilizing a description format of design information as it is.;SOLUTION: A design trace device includes: an input part 11 for inputting design information of different description formats; an interpretation part 12 for identifying the description format of the design information inputted by the input part 11 to interpret the design information for every identified description format; an extraction part 13 for extracting a design element from the design information for every description format interpreted by the interpretation part 12 and extracting a linking element for linking specified design elements of different description formats with each other from the design information; and a registration part 15 for associating the design elements of the different description formats with each other based on the design element and the linking element extracted in the extraction part 13 and registering the design elements in a storage part 14.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
