PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music reproducing device displaying an appropriate music list for searching music. PSOLUTION: The music reproducing device is provided with: a storage means for storing music data to be sorted into elements of a predetermined category regarding music and storing an image associated with each music data; a display means for simultaneously displaying the list of the elements of the category as selection items and a representative image of the category, an acquisition means for obtaining preference data showing the degree of user's preference regarding each selection item of the category; a selection means (steps 81 and 82) for selecting images correlated with the selection items of the category where the degree of user's preference is equal to a predetermined degree as representative images; and a selection means for selecting a desired one from the selection item list displayed by the display means.
