PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive torque control device which can realize a torque characteristic corresponding to a load characteristic, and uses a rotation speed control of electrical equipment matching a load condition, and to provide a motor drive torque control method.SOLUTION: A torque detection section 41 detects the torque of a motor 20 by an output current output by an inverter 40 to the motor 20. An output characteristic of the motor 20 controlled by the inverter 40 includes a constant torque characteristic when the rotation speed is equal to or less than a basic rotation speed, and includes a constant output characteristic when the rotation speed is equal to or more than the basic rotation speed. A rotation speed control section 71 controls the rotation speed of a rotation axis of a pulverizer body 50 according to the level of the detected torque and a predetermined torque threshold value, when the motor 20 is actuated at a rotation speed of equal to or more than the basic rotation speed, in other words, is actuated in a constant output area.
