PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract feature points in a low contrast image.;SOLUTION: A feature point extraction method relating to the present invention includes: a reception step (101) for receiving an image; a feature measure calculation step (102-107) for calculating a feature measure indicating a feature point for a plurality of pixels of the image; a statistical measure calculation step for calculating a statistical measure with respect to one of the plurality of pixels; a threshold determination step for determining a threshold based upon the statistical measure; and a feature point determination step (108) for determining whether the one of the plurality of pixels is a feature point based upon the threshold and the feature measure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
