PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high-precision evaluation of prevention effect on ultraviolet light included in an irradiating sunlight source under use conditions of actual life in use environment.;SOLUTION: The evaluation method of evaluating the ultraviolet light prevention effect on a measurement sample with which a member to be coated is coated includes a first step of measuring secular change in spectral transmission spectrum of the measurement sample at predetermined intervals in a predetermined wavelength region through light irradiation with the light source including ultraviolet rays, visible light rays, and infrared rays under preset light irradiation conditions; a second step of setting correlation between an irradiation time and an erythema effect amount per predetermined time, which is obtained by dividing an erythema effect amount of the measurement sample by an erythema effect amount per 1 MED, based upon the secular change in spectral transmission spectrum; and a third step of calculating an in vitro rSPF predicted value of the measurement sample with the time until when a time-integrated cumulative erythema effect amount reaches 1 MED from the correlation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
