PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently producing metal compound-containing gel or a metal compound-containing liquid for producing a metal compound or a metal compound film.;SOLUTION: This method of producing the metal compound-containing gel 13 containing at least either a metal oxide or a metal hydroxide includes a step of forming a metal hydroxide 12 by adding an alkoxy group-containing liquid and a first hydrogen peroxide-containing aqueous liquid to a metal alkoxide 11; a step of separating the metal hydroxide 12 in a hydrated state from the mother liquid; and a step of forming the metal compound-containing gel 13 by an autothermal reaction of the separated metal hydroxide 12 in the hydrated state with a second hydrogen peroxide-containing aqueous liquid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
