PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit description generation apparatus which is capable of suppressing increase in turnaround time of design even when designing a semiconductor integrated circuit having a complicated layered structure.;SOLUTION: On the basis of layered structure analysis information obtained by analyzing a multilayer structure of functional circuits in a desired highest layered circuit and first terminal information specifying information relating to terminals of existent circuits which are existent functional circuits, an existent circuit analysis section 22 analyzes a signal connection of the existent circuit in the highest layered circuit. On the basis of existent circuit connection information, a generation circuit analysis section 24 generates second terminal information specifying information relating to a terminal of a generation circuit which is a functional circuit to be newly generated in the highest layered circuit, and generation circuit internal information specifying information on signal connection inside the generation circuit. On the basis of the second terminal information and the generation circuit internal information, a circuit description generation section 25 generates circuit descriptions of the highest layered circuit and the generation circuit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
