PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface coating method of titanium dioxide for a pigment for uniformly and densely precipitating and forming hydrargillite Al2O3-3H2O of crystalline alumina hydrate on a surface of a titanium dioxide particle.;SOLUTION: In order to uniformly and densely precipitate and form crystalline alumina hydrate on the surface of the titanium dioxide particle, dispersion liquid of titanium dioxide slurry containing a titanyl ion and sodium aluminate is kept at a temperature of equal to or lower than 40°C, and a hydrolytic rate of sodium aluminate is adjusted without generating the alumina hydrate in a liquid part, and the crystalline alumina hydrate can therefore be uniformly and densely precipitated and formed on the surface of the titanium dioxide particle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
