PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To integrate phase estimation information of each inverter into one information even if unbalance exists in voltage and current information from multiplex winding, to make control elements common and to simplify communication of control information in an integration processing in position sensorless control of a synchronous machine constituted in multiplex winding.SOLUTION: One winding of the synchronous machine constituted in duplex winding is driven by a master inverter and remaining windings are driven by a slave inverter. Both the inverters calculate estimation phase angles Δφ^and Δφ^from a voltage command on a rotation coordinate, a current detection signal and a circuit constant and estimation speed of a motor. An average value operation portion 20 obtains an average value of the estimation phase angle, and a speed estimation portion 12 operates estimation speed ω^from the average value. A position integration portion 13 time-integrates estimation speed and calculates an estimation reference phase θ^. Average value calculation includes a structure performed after speed estimation or a structure performed after position integration.
