PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively charge hydrogen to a material to a required diffusible hydrogen concentration level while scarcely leaching out the material, in a method for charging hydrogen to the material and a method for evaluating hydrogen embrittlement characteristics using the hydrogen charging method.;SOLUTION: A material is immersed in a solution obtained by adding a hydrogen charging catalyst to a citric acid-disodium hydrogen phosphate buffer adjusted to a pH of 2.5 or higher, whereby hydrogen is charged to the material. Hydrogen can be easily and inexpensively charged to an arbitrary material of a test piece, a component and the like to a required diffusible hydrogen concentration level while scarcely leaching out the material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
