PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crack identification method which does not require successive mesh correction when moving a crack.;SOLUTION: In a method for identifying a crack location of a structural member on the basis of natural frequency information, a difference between a natural frequency of the structural member acquired by measurement and a natural frequency of the structural member calculated after movement of a virtual crack location based on calculation by using an extended finite element method is taken as an input value, and an evaluation function which is minimum at the time of coincidence between both of natural frequencies is set. The movement of the virtual crack location is determined on the basis of sensitivity information of the evaluation function, and a convergence point of location coordinates of the virtual crack is identified as a crack location.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
