PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type screen capable of enhancing the contrast of a displayed image with a simple configuration. PSOLUTION: The reflection type screen 10 is provided with a light diffusion layer 11 which has irregularity on the surface, and a light reflection layer 12 which is provided on the light diffusion layer 11 and comprises of a metallic film 12a to reflect the irregularity of the light diffusion layer 11 on the surface. The light diffusion layer has light absorption regions 12b in portions on the surface irregularity of the light reflection layer 12 so as to absorb the incident light from the direction where the intensity of external light is highest.
