PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for imparting high molecular weight to hyaluronic acid which has excellent permeability to the living body and also can impart high molecular weight to hyaluronic acid in the living body, and a skin wound healing promoter containing the compound.;SOLUTION: The agent for imparting high molecular weight to hyaluronic acid contains a compound having a repeated unit expressed by formula (I) (wherein, R¹ to R⁵ denote a hydrogen atom, a 1 to 4C alkyl group or the like), and having the viscosity average molecular weight of 500 to 20,000.
