PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a granulated blast furnace slag, which is capable of realizing a sufficient solidification delaying effect and properly removing needle-like slag, and the granulated blast furnace slag treated thereby.;SOLUTION: The method for treating the granulated blast furnace slag comprises a step of crushing the slag so as to achieve a Wm/Wi value of ≥0.037 and, at the same time, carbonizing the slag. Here, the Wm/Wi value is represented by the equation: Wm/Wi=10/(d₈₀)^1/2-10/(d₈₀⁽⁰⁾)^1/2 (wherein Wm is crushing workload; Wi is work index; d₈₀ is 80% passing size (μm) of a sample after crushing; and d₈₀⁽⁰⁾ is 80% passing size (μm) of a sample before crushing) and can be determined using the particle sizes of the slag before and after crushing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
